Hi. I'm a professor of graphic design at Endicott College in the School of Visual & Performing Arts.

I have an M.F.A. from Parsons The New School for Design. I have worked as an educator, designer and artist in the Boston area and New York City for over 30 years. I've received numerous grants, fellowships and have spoken at industry events from Nashville to Chicago.

I am the the co-author of the popular portfolio book, No Plastic Sleeves: The Complete Portfolio Guide for Photographers and Designers, now in it's 3rd edition. The companion website is found at www.noplasticsleeves.com.

Chair of UCDA AI Task Force
Appointed chair of the University and College Designers Association (UCDA) AI Task Force Group in February 2025. The primary outcome of the Task Force is a UCDA AI Resource Library that includes recommendations regarding software, programs, training and resources, case studies, guidance on ethical usage, policies and best practices.

Presented at UCDA
Presented at the 2025 DESIGN EDUCATION SUMMIT: MINDFUL in Charlotte, NC on May 19-20, 2025 on "Mindful Creativity Avoiding Passive Creation in the Age of AI". Additionally, as the chair of the UCDA AI Task Force, she led the UCDA Artificial Intelligence Initiative "Lunch & Learn".

Selected as the University & College Designers Association Faculty Member of the Month for June 2025.

Awarded Sabbatical
Awarded a sabbatical for Fall 2025 to develop a body of worked focused on LGBTQ+ equality across the USA. This is an information design project involving research and design.

Attendance at Conference
Attended LGBTQ+ in Higher Ed Leadership Insitute in Milwaukee, WI, Fall 2025.

In my other design work I focus on web design, brand identity and promotional materials. I also enjoy a bit of web development and coding. In fact, I coded this Mapping Equality website myself. My portfolio site is at dcurrier.com
